BY CAR
From the south:
There are two main roads from Oslo to Trondheim – E6 or R3.
The main roads (E6 and R3) meet at Ulsberg about 440 km. north of Oslo. From Ulsberg to Berkåk, E6, it is 11 km. From Berkåk, follow Rv 700 to Orkanger and RV 710 to Valset. From here ferry to Brekstad.
From the north:
Nordfosenveien: Rv 715 from Namdalseid to Krinsvatn from here Rv 710 to Brekstad.
Alternatively: Rv 720/715 via Rissa or Rv 755/715 via Mosvik and Leksvik to Krinsvatn. Continue on Rv710 to Brekstad.
From Trondheim:
Ferry from Flakk (Trondheim) to Rørvik, then Rv 715 to Krinsvatn, from here Rv 710 to Brekstad.
Alternatively, you can drive via Orkanger and Rv 710 to Valset, from here the ferry to Brekstad.
From Brekstad – Rønsholmen, 8km:
From Brekstad Fv 241. Follow the signs to Storfosna. The exit to the fisherman’s cabins is on the left when you reach the small town Rønsholmen.
BY PLANE
Direct flights from Oslo, Gardermoen (OSL) with Air Norway to Ørland (OLA). From the airport terminal it is only 5km to Rønsholmen.
Oslo Airport Gardermoen to Værnes Airport Trondheim.
From Værnes airport, rental car to Trondheim and on as described above.
BOAT
There is a fast boat from Pirterminalen in Trondheim to Brekstad. Travel time is 55 minutes.
